$770,000 paid to settle Florida Life Partners Lawsuit

Although denying it broke any Florida regulatory laws, Waco, Texas-based life settlement provider Life Partners paid the state $770,000 to settle charges against it. The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation received the $770,000 as a result of its claims that Life Partners engaged in the purchase of insurance policies from the state’s residents without holding a license from the state.
